Swale French Drain System which turned into a decorative walkway. 3 Drain Pipes installed wrapped in clean gravel and heavy filter fabric then layered with decorative rock and then flagstone stepping stone. Artificial swales are often infiltration basins, designed to manage water runoff, filter pollutants, and increase rainwater infiltration
As with all homes proper grading (minimum 6-inch with the first 6 feet from a foundation) and water management around a home, including maintaining clean gutters and free flowing down spouts that discharge a minimum of 6 feet from a home, is required to protect the long-term integrity of a foundation.
A French drain or weeping tile is a trench filled with gravel or rock or containing a perforated pipe that redirects surface water and groundwater away from an area. In most cases Absolute uses high strength schedule 40 pvc pipe (perforated and or solid) instead of the regular lightweight landscape perforated piping most other companies use.
